Create a wallet

DeSpace will initially support EVM-compatible chains, although we do plan to support other chains in the future. The easiest way to connect to these chains is with MetaMask.

Step 1

Download the MetaMask browser extension or mobile app.

Step 2

Restore your existing account, or click ‘Create a Wallet’ to set up a new account.

Step 3

Follow the instructions to set up your new MetaMask account.

Please remember to practice good opsec - write down your passwords and private key on a physical piece of paper and store them somewhere safe, or use a secure password manager.

Never save your private key in a note or document on your computer, and never give your private key to anyone else.

Step 4

Finish the setup. You now have a MetaMask wallet!

By default, MetaMask will only be connected to Ethereum. You need to configure your wallet to connect to other chains. Fortunately, this is easy to do and we explain exactly how to do it in the next section.
